Peter Zetterberg | Wanderword

Peter Zetterberg who resides in Kirkland, WA has a video game and business development background dating back to 1990. As co-founder of UDS in 1993, one of the first established video game developers in Sweden, he was part of producing several titles with various publishers and distributors. In 2004 he changed his career path to represent publisher Codemasters, and later, in 2007, Microsoft, with a focus on business development, talent scouting and relationship building with both games studios and publishers. After working closely with Mojang, creator of Minecraft, and later a member of the Mojang/Microsoft acquisition partnership, he is today director of business operations for Xbox Game Studios in Redmond, USA.” Peter is the founder of Wanderword.

Pontus “Zlapped” Mahler is an ex-professional gamer who has attended and won multiple tournaments globally in Heroes of Newerth. He simultaneously ran his Twitch & Youtube and had over 40M views and 300,000+ followers. He transitioned from a player to a CEO of an Esport company in Thailand and managed over 80 athletes and influencers. Now he’s transitioned to Director at GXC (HQ of Global Top Round & Game Round) and uses his knowledge and experience from his pro-gaming career as well as his Esport and Gaming consulting for major companies to assist gaming startups & publishers grow. Pontus primarily leads Investor & Publishing relations for the various portfolio companies under GTR securing long-term partnerships and strategy for Game Round.

André Bernhardt | Speaker track host

André Bernhardt is part of the German games industry since 25 years and worked on online and offline as well as mobile and console titles. In the beginning of his career, he was part of the classical boxed console and PC-games business with the release of the Playstation at Sony Computer Entertainment. Afterwards he was working at different focusing on “next-gen” console publishing and business development. In 2009 he joined the F2P-revolution working for Travian Games in Munich. Due to his love to innovative “indie” games he left Travian in 2012 and started working as a freelance agent called Indie Advisor which he turned into a limited as Indie Advisor & Company in 2019. Nowadays he is offering external business development and funding support for indies while also curating indie expos at events like devcom in Cologne. He is guest lecturer at different universities like FH Salzburg.

Orvar Säfström | Host for the conference

With many years hosting the film show on Sweden’s largest television network, Orvar Säfstrom is a household name in Sweden. Since 2005 his main focus has been games and game culture, writing several books on the subject, as a columnist for numerous newspapers and magazines and has lectured on popular culture and has held a seminar on the importance game culture in Swedish parliament. He has been awarded the Swedish video industry Honorary Award as well as the Swedish Gaming Federation SVEROK “Gamer of the year”. Orvar Safstrom is also the leading producer of symphonic concerts with film and video game music in Scandinavia.

Fredrik Malmberg | Heroic Signatures

Fredrik Malmberg, hailing from the icy north (Sweden) has been a fan of Robert E. Howard since his teens. Notably, he was a pioneer in introducing tabletop games and was the first publisher of Conan in the Swedish language. Since acquiring the rights to Conan in 2004, and the rest of the REH estate in 2006, Fred has worked with the comics, game, toy, videogame and entertainment industries, bringing Conan and Howard to a broader audience than likely ever before, in particular through computer games, such as the Age of Conan and Conan Exiles games from licensee Funcom. Currently, he is serving as an Executive Producer of a Conan entertainment package at Netflix, and heads up the Heroic Signatures team in Los Angeles.

Jay has successfully negotiated and closed countless deals for licensing, development and distribution over the past 25 years. His consulting firm, The Powell Group, focuses on building positive relationships between various forms of media and the game space, and helping a wide variety of clients succeed in the video game industry. In 2018 he founded the “IndieGameBusiness” initiative to educate and empower industry professionals on the business side of gaming, with a focus on independent publishing and bringing new indie games to market. Sylvain Runberg | Dark Riviera

Born 1971, Sylvain Runberg grew up in Provence (France) and now lives in Sweden. With a master degree in Political History he started his career in the publishing industry before writing graphic novels. His first book came out in 2004. He has since published more than 100 graphic novels, published in 25 countries, creating his own IPs from fantasy, science fiction to thriller, horror and supernatural drama while working on others, known worldwide (“Wonder Woman”, “Millennium”, “Watchdog Legions”, ” Liu Cixin Universe” etc…) He is at the origin of the TV serie “Cryptid” (2020 Cannes TV festival official selection) for Viaplay and is currently working on several other TV series, graphic novels and video games projects. Sylvain Runberg is also the co-founder of Dark Riviera, a Stockholm based intellectual property generator for television, graphic novels and video games
